Nira Pollock ELA Award RecipientAssistant Professor, Harvard Medical School, and Associate Medical Director of the Infectious Diseases Diagnostic Laboratory at Boston Children’s Hospital

Dr. Pollock is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Pathology at Harvard Medical School, the Associate Medical Director of the Infectious Diseases Diagnostic Laboratory at Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH), and a member of the faculty of the Division of Infectious Diseases at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC). Dr. Pollock is one of the 2015 Bay Area Lyme Foundation Emerging Leader Award recipients. She completed her MD-PhD training at UCSF, followed by internal medicine residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and ID fellowship at BIDMC. She joined the BIDMC Infectious Diseases faculty in 2008, and took her current position within the Department of Laboratory Medicine at BCH in 2012. Her research and clinical interests are in the development and evaluation of novel diagnostic tests, both for infectious disease and non-infectious disease applications.
