With the introduction of Bay Area Lyme Ventures (Lyme Ventures), we are taking crucial steps to bring results to market. This fund is designed to fast-track the most promising diagnostics and therapeutics, ensuring that vital solutions reach patients who need them most. Lyme Ventures provides the opportunity for investment into innovative products that will transform the landscape of Lyme disease diagnostics, treatment, and prevention to fill the significant gaps that exist in today’s medical care.
Lyme Ventures will complement Bay Area Lyme Foundation’s continued commitment to funding scientific research by advancing promising discoveries into clinical development and, ultimately, through commercialization. In the past 10 years, Bay Area Lyme Foundation has granted more than $30 million toward research and created Lyme Disease Biobank, which has supplied more than 100 research projects with well-characterized blood, urine, and tissue samples. Bay Area Lyme Ventures promises to take some of these projects to the next step with an initial $5M investment fund. Proceeds from these investments will be driven back into funding additional research.

Aces Diagnostics, Inc. is developing LymeSeek, a diagnostic blood test kit that will be sold to laboratories and has demonstrated in verification studies an unprecedented 90% accuracy for early and disseminated Lyme disease.
