Shelby Anderson is a first year resident physician and Lyme disease survivor. Throughout her life, she has overcome many challenges brought forth by Lyme disease. She was diagnosed at the age of eight, following months of headaches, joint pain, fatigue and many other symptoms that changed her life in an instant. Despite, the many trials brought on by living with Lyme disease, with the support of her family and her faith in God, she went on to pursue her dream of becoming a physician. She successfully completed medical school and matched into a residency in radiology. Her plan is to one day pursue interventional radiology. When she is not working at the hospital, Shelby enjoys spending time with horses. Her story is the second story highlighted in a documentary about the Bay Area Lyme Foundation Ambassadors.
