We’re working to make Lyme disease easy to diagnose and simple to cure. We need your help. Here’s how you can get involved.

Support

You can support Bay Area Lyme and help create awareness for Lyme disease and Lyme research by participating in one of our many events or community activities, or by coming up with your own idea!

Attend an Event

From LymeAid, our annual benefit concert, to Polo for Lyme, a first-in-kind community fundraiser on the polo field in Portola Valley, or Hops & Harmony, a free music festival and community picnic, we host several events each year bringing together researchers, supporters, and the public to share new developments, celebrate major breakthroughs, and raise funds and awareness to support the continued campaign to find a cure for Lyme.

Email us if you’d like to be added to our invitation list.

Host an Event

If you have an idea for an event — perhaps a salon gathering at your home, an informational session at a private club, community center, or library — please contact us, we’d love to partner with you.

Start a Fundraising Campaign

There are lots of ways to raise awareness and funds for Lyme disease.  From a lemonade stand or bakesale, to a facebook campaign, a neighborhood car wash, or charity run, you can help spread the word about Lyme disease and the importance of prevention as well as help raise funds to support important new research and clinical trials. And 100% of the funds you raise go directly into programs.

We’ve got materials and toolkits to help you get started.

Email us for more details.

Volunteer

Bay Area Lyme relies on the talents of many wonderful volunteers who have helped us in countless ways. Recently volunteers collected ticks for the Bay Area Tick Study, helped with public service mail and media campaigns, and worked at special events like LymeAid and Polo for Lyme.  We also rely on volunteers to help with our outreach programs in local Bay Area schools and at community events.

If you’d like to get involved, please visit our Volunteer page and give us a few details about your interests, skills, and availability. We will contact you if there is a project in your area that matches your interests.
